Distribution Plan

For my distribution plan i will be selling through intermediaries. Based on my research this is most efficient way of selling my magazine. Especially for my target audience since they will be more likely to find my magazines in places they visit. For the digital part of the distribution amazon seems like the best option because it can be bought on a kindle as well and can be downloaded. Also, amazon is very popular and my magazine would probably be circulated more. Having my magazine on a site like amazon can benefit the distribution because people rely on technology more and more everyday.

The magazine OnFitness digitally distributes through amazon. Amazon is their digital distribution agent. Also you could purchase this magazine eon a kindle, which is through amazon. this works together because if you have a Kindle you can buy his magazine and read it firm the Kindle and it is all through amazon so it would be easy. the target audience of this magazine is similar to my magazine because it educates you about your body and for physical therapy you have to know your body to know how to heal your injury/problem. it is also similar because you have to work out and stay active when in physical therapy and this can help with that. I can incorporate this method by making deals with businesses like amazon in order to get more distribution and by working with them and their products i can achieve that.

APTA is a magazine about physical therapy that has its own website. in order to see the magazines you have to subscribe to them. their website includes magazines, education, patient care, etc. this is a good way to have the business and the advertisement correlate by having it all in one place. the target audience is similar because, like my magazine, it is for physical therapy. i could incorporate the distribution methods for my product by making a website and making it to where you can subscribe and get magazines form there.

Health Magazine has an app for its magazine. in order to get the magazine you must either have a subscription, pay for a subscription, or pay for the magazine separately. this method of digital distribution is convenient for people who don't go to the store often or who don't have time to get magazines. by having it on your phone directly, it saves a lot of time and is favorable for most people. this can be good for my distribution because people of older age might not leave the house much. for the younger audience it can be beneficial to have health tips on your phone instead of having to go out and buy the magazine in person. it can also be delivered to your house so that you can have a print copy of the magazine. The app also shows the different issues and looks very functional to use.

Traditional Distribution Research

there are a few ways for magazine distribution which are direct selling, selling through intermediaries, dual distribution, and reverse channels. direct selling is selling from home, work or online. direct selling does not take place in a retail environment. selling through intermediaries is selling through retail from an individual firm which connects the producer to the buyer. dual distribution is a system where manufacturers will simultaneously use 2 approaches, which is marketing the product one way and sell it directly to the consumer. reverse channel is when the product (the magazine) is moved from consumer back to manufacturer. two examples are recycling and product recalls. the traditional distribution model for a magazine is selling through intermediaries. i can utilize this by putting my magazine in places where my target age/audience would go.

Marketing Plan

I plan to market my magazine with a social media page. even with my target audience being a little older i tend to go through with this type of marketing because in this day and age there are many people of all ages on social media and online. this is my instagram account that i plan to post about for my magazine and advertise for every issue that is released.
